Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
"The Company" refers to Roadrunners Despatch Ltd. "The Customer" refers to the person or company requesting the service. "Consignment" refers to the goods being transported.
2. Services
The Company provides same-day courier services for the collection and delivery of consignments within the UK mainland. Services are subject to availability and may be affected by circumstances beyond our control.
3. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are based on information provided by the Customer at the time of booking. The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing if the actual consignment differs materially from what was described (e.g., size, weight, access difficulties).
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of delivery unless a credit account has been agreed. Credit account terms are 30 days from date of invoice. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
5. Liability and Insurance
The Company carries Goods in Transit insurance. Liability is limited to the value declared at the time of booking or £10,000 per consignment, whichever is lower. The Company is not liable for consequential losses, delays caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
6. Prohibited Items
The Company will not knowingly carry illegal substances, hazardous materials (unless pre-agreed), live animals, or any items prohibited by UK law.
7. Cancellation
Cancellations made after a driver has been dispatched may incur a charge. The Company will endeavour to minimise any cancellation costs.
8. Data Protection
The Company processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our GDPR Statement for full details.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
